Feb - 21 2014 | no comments | By

This if for the Kasier Craft Blog. I loved the Sketch and enjoyed this project.

I have used the new range Telegraph Road, I ran lace down the right hand side and the bottom which was threded with hot pink ribbon and placed the die cut over the top. I layered the telegraph road paper onto the die cut and placed a matter photo on top. The right hand side of the photo matt I have left open and made it into a pocket. I placed 2 tags in there with journaling on them. For the tags I used the captured moments life’s treasures. I created another pocket on the right side. I cut paper and slit it and threaded paper as a ribbon to coordinate it as ribbon. I placed triple matted banners to left under the photo I also at the far left did the same thing with Washi Tape. I added pink spotted Fabric Tape the the photo, I edged everything with Graphic 45 Photo Genic. I added Molossi Flowers with some bling.

Best Day Ever – Scrap the Girls Challenge

Feb - 21 2014 | 2 comments | By

What a challenge this was. Was not quite sure how to start it, I did start by doing a water colour on the paper of the photo and then I was not sure what to do with it so I searched my stash and found some beautiful paper called We R Memory Keppers I used 72 and Sunny. I incorporated the water colour painting in with 72 and Sunny which formed part of the background which gives a pebble stone and mossy grass. I used Gesso. With the 72 & Sunny paper I cut into 1/2 inch strips and I woved the paper. I punched the flowers out of the same paper, Kindy Glitz was also used I then completed by adding several photos of Charlotte dancing in the sun.

“Couture Creations 2014 Design Team Audition”

Feb - 13 2014 | no comments | By

These projects have been created for the Couture Creations Design Team Audition 2014. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on these projects and having the chance to use some of the mixed media products that I have. Couture Creations have an amazing array of embossing folders, die cuts, equipment and tools.

Project 1 – “Wedding Day”

This card has been made for a customer for her best friend’s wedding day. The card was created using Kaiser Craft “The Lake House” Paper range, Bazzill Card Stock, Mollossi Pearls, Green Tara Flowers, Kindy Glitz and Kaiser Craft small letters. The main focal point of the card was the Couture Creations Royal Jewels Collection Crystal Star Doily Die cut which was inked with light pink.

Project 2 – “I Do”

I have made this card specifically for Couture Creations. I have used the following products: Bazzill Card Stock, Kaiser Craft “On This Day” paper range, Green Tara Ribbon, Lace and Leaves and a piece of jewellery. The card was completed with Couture Creations Royal Jewels Collection Crystal Star Doily Die cut and the Nesting Dies Victorian Square. I used the doily die for the centre of the easel card I then used the Victorian Square dies to make a tag and the raised embellishments.

Project 3 – “Believe”

This card was part of my Christmas Collection for 2013. I have used Bazzill Card Stock, Mirror Card Silver, Green Tara Ribbon, Flexible word Believe from Manor House Creations, Small Charm, Silver and Pewter Pen. The card has been pieced together using two couture creations embossing folders Wrapped in Joy Collection “Piece and Joy” and Ho Ho Ho its Christmas Collection “Party Favour”. I embossed the mirror card using the bottom section of the Piece and Joy folder which formed the top of the card. The lower section of the card is embossed with the top section of the Party Favour folder which gives the finish on the front of the card. I pieced these embossed sections together with Couture Creations Tape and then added the Green Tara ribbon. The lower section inside the card was embossed using the lower section of the Ho Ho Ho Collection. I highlighted the embossing using the Sliver and Pewter pens.

Project 4 – “Charlotte”

This project was also created for Couture Creations and has been one of my favourite pieces. I decided to do this project using a stretched canvas. To begin the canvas I used manor house collection paper which was glued down to the canvas and very lightly painted over the top in Gesso. Viva Precious Metal with a prima stencil was used to create a pattern over the top. To add more texture I decided to use Kaiser Craft Butterfly stencil over the top as well. Green Tara ribbon and bows lace was used around the edging of the canvas to help frame the canvass. I added a beautiful piece of French lace to the right hand side of the board which formed a panel in which I would place my Couture Creations Frames. Two Couture Creations Victorian Nesting dies have been used to frame the photos I had taken of my granddaughter which were perfect for this canvas idea. The three small photos fitted perfectly into the Couture Creations Frames which I embossed with small butterflies this was followed by then placing the larger photo to the left of the canvas. To add more detail and character to the canvas I then added Mollossi flourish, 3 birds and the word laugh. I then embossed a piece of Bazzill card stock twice with butterfly notes folder, I then cut the flowers and butterflies out of the card stock which I painted in metallic ink and edged in magenta ink. The butterflies were joined together to create a double wing butterfly, I punched the raised edges of the butterfly out and jewelled both butterflies placing one on the bottom left of the canvas and the small butterfly on the top right of the frame. The three flowers and stems were painted in metallic and edged in magenta and placed with a molossi flower to form a flourish.

I want a Never Ending Ice Block!!!

Jan - 24 2014 | 3 comments | By

This Sketch was created for the 123 Challenge using the 3 elements Orange, Live and Feathers. It is of my Granddaughter Charlotte Grace who was eating and ice block on a hot and sunny day in Parkesbourne. She enjoyed eating her ice block as this is one of the many things she enjoys when visiting Nanny and Poppy however when she finished the ice block the look on her face was one to capture as a moment in time and you could imagine her thinking “All i want is a Never Ending Ice Block”.

I have used Kaiser Craft New collection Spring Bloom which is perfect this challenge, I have also used the Kaiser Craft 6X4 and 3X4 favourite things cards. I really enjoyed this challenge and Charlotte assisted with colouring the feathers.

Thank you for the opportunity 123 Challenge to participate in this.

A Step Back in Time

Jan - 20 2014 | no comments | By

I purchased a few journals from a local newsagency at were just plain and not decorated. I decided to turn them into something special so i have created these journals using Velvet Ensemble Kaiser Craft collection along with Green Tara and Darkroom Door products. I like the paper because it had a Moulin Rouge feel. I also created a pocket on the inside so special notes or letters can be kept.
